Upon it’s release, the now legendary debut full-length LP from the duo of Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin, set the standard for an as yet unlabelled sound and movement, which soon became known as hauntology. The music is wierd, wobbly, and imbued with sounds and atmospheres that seem vaguely familiar and vaguely sinister. It was, and still is, music that’s redolent of the past, present and future all at once.
